Academics

Gurukul Olympiad School diligently adheres to both the CBSE and SSC curriculum, strictly following the standards established by these educational boards. As per CBSE guidelines, we utilize NCERT textbooks for teaching, which are supplemented by other recommended reference books to ensure comprehensive learning for students across all grades. In the case of the SSC board, we use prescribed textbooks and relevant additional resources to ensure our students are well-prepared.

In addition, our curriculum extends to teaching students in 11th and 12th grades, providing them with a robust educational foundation that will equip them for their upcoming board examinations and future academic pursuits. We're committed to offering a comprehensive and enriching academic experience to all our students.

Our school has implemented an Integrated Tests system, featuring multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with a negative marking scheme, aimed at students from Grade 3 and above. These tests are designed not only to prepare the students for future competitive exams but also to cultivate crucial skills such as critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and decision making. The negative marking aspect of the exams encourages students to think carefully before answering, fostering precision and discouraging guesswork. Through these exams, students are gradually exposed to the kind of question formats and critical thinking processes required in competitive environments. The goal is to equip our students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in any examination setting, and beyond.

At our school, we offer a specialized Foundation Test for students in Grade 6 and above. This test is systematically divided into several categories: Science & Math, Civil Services, Fine Arts at the City Campus, and Advanced Science & Maths at the Airport Campus. These different categories allow us to accurately assess and identify the strengths, interests, and potential of each student in diverse fields. The Science & Math and Advanced Science & Math tests measure the students' aptitude in technical and analytical skills, whereas the Civil Services category assesses their understanding of civic responsibilities and administrative abilities. The Fine Arts category, available at our City Campus, evaluates their creativity and artistic skills. This comprehensive evaluation helps us tailor the educational experience to meet the unique needs and aspirations of every student, setting them on a path of exploration and growth in their chosen fields.

Our school is proud to offer the opportunity for students from Grade 1 to Grade 10 to participate in Olympiad Competitive Exams, which are presented in a multiple-choice question (MCQ) format. These Olympiads provide a platform for our students to demonstrate their understanding and knowledge in various subjects at both national and international levels. By participating in these exams, students not only broaden their academic horizons but also develop essential skills such as problem-solving, logical thinking, and time management. Our aim is to nurture a competitive spirit in our students from an early age, and the Olympiad exams serve as an excellent avenue for achieving this goal.

Career Counselling for Grade 10th Students

Career counseling is a significant part of our educational program for Grade 10 students. Recognizing that the choices made at this stage can greatly influence a student's future academic and professional path, we provide expert guidance to help them navigate through these important decisions. Our career counseling sessions are designed to help students understand their own skills, interests, and aspirations. By discussing various potential career paths and educational opportunities, our counselors assist students in aligning their passions with their career choices. We believe that informed decisions at this critical stage can lay the foundation for fulfilling academic pursuits and successful careers.
